Looking over at Blogcritics, I found this review of Coyote vs. Acme, one of the funniest things ever written, if you think Chuck Jones sits at the Right Hand of God, as I do. That reminded me of a lesser-known but equally brilliant piece by Frazer (who is up there in the People Id Like To Have Dinner With list), his Lamentations of the Father

I've read the screaming piece - it put me off having kids for another few years ;-> (I act that way so what are the odds my kids will?)

Amen on Frazer; when I first saw that piece (I think it was in The Atlantic Monthly) I photocopied it and carried it around to hand to friends and coworkers.
